Information: Barbiel was a sister, mother, and later on in his life, lover to Raphael. She cares for and loves him very deeply, even knowing that he has fooled around with countless other women. She dies protecting Raphael from Sandalphon's hand, showing Raphael just how much she loved him, and making him sorely regret everything he had done. Raphael expends all his energy bringing life back into her again, and manages to revive her, but in order to recouperate must spend the next 10 years in Heaven in hibernation.
